Strictly Business

Just didn't want to see Marge anymore, I'm counting on you Alison for a post worthy of the weekend, I dare not try (such a chicken)...

Against All Odds

OK, so it's only Monday and I'm not panicking yet but I have been informed that my 80's costume is on hold until the owner returns from vacation Wednesday. WHAT?!?!?!

Thank goodness Jen has one on stand by just in case but I have her to thank for finding the perfect one and now I want to wear it damn it.

All of my 80's pictures are packed up but Marge was totally 80's
(Remember the Simpsons Tracey Ullman style?)

I WANNA ROCK!!!

Treasure Alert!

Found right here in the little Marysville Ohio Goodwill in a box under a pile of old wrapping paper and yellowed ribbons...

They are CUT OUTS, not prints!!! The big one is damaged but completely repairable since nothing is missing.

I have I found my most favorite thrift store find EVER.

Hooray!

Chris has decided that living in this beautiful little town is worth the drive.

No more goodbyes!!!

Missin my crap

It would be so nice to have something outside of my control to blame for my lapse in blogging. It really simply is that my attention span is not one of my many, fine selling points. I guess if you are reading this then you already know me and know that.

I've been digging around on the internet to find a "Patrick Swayze" wig for Chris for the Brennan's 80's par-tay, NOT an easy task!!! All of the "mullet" wigs are very long in the back and not at all Patrick. This is what I came up with, what do you think? Is it just that this guy looks like Patrick? I need an unbiased opinion because 24.99 is NOT cheap (and I hope non-refundable) but is the lone, critical piece of the wardrobe.

I'm having a harder time than I thought trying to find the perfect dress to be Baby. And since this IS my lifelong dream since the age of 12 (note the name of my blog, "this is my dance space" was already taken) then you can understand that this dress must really be perfect.

On another note...

The house is done, it looks like nobody lives here and that is really making me sad. I never realized how attached I am to my things.

A tribute to my crap so far away in storage...
The best ottoman in the whole-wide-world (minus the junk on top)! I think I must sneak it back.

It's not easy being green

We've gutted the upstairs carpet and all of those pesky little staples and will be glad when the new carpet and laminate is installed... kind of. The unfortunate part of new carpet is the VOC's given off and the MOST unfortunate part is that the "green" carpet is so expensive. Why does being green in renovations have to cost so much money? I know that in the long run it pays off but when we're trying to sell a house we just can't afford to be green.

I am also painting ALL of the trim and doors in the house, not once, not twice, but three times. This is a huge endeavor, hopefully it pays off. Landscaping, new lights and all sorts of stuff in store for our near future. So I'm out of commission for a few weeks but thoughts of sewing and cooking projects occupy my mind while I work. We do have the internet hooked up again, woohoo!

Here's hoping to being amongst the living again very soon!
